For this assignment we had to incorporate northern lighting into our photographs inspired by photographer, Irving Penn. One of the many perks about northern lighting is that it really showcases clothing and material and because of this, I chose Shannel to be my model. Before shooting, I noticed that Shannel was wearing a jean jacket and I loved the many rips and tears it had as well as how gritty the jean looked. I knew right away that I wanted to have the jacket as my main focus. As for my result I feel like I was successful because I was able to capture the texture on her jacket really well and that was my goal when going into the project.
