For this assignment we were asked to either pan, have a slow shutter speed, or do a stop motion photograph. I decided to go with setting a slow shutter speed on my camera to create a ghostly effect as you can see in the photograph. I also decided to go with the slow shutter speed because it produced the best results for me when shooting rather then the other two options. In this picture my 3 subjects are Yanel (center), Nic (left), and Nathan (right). What I wanted to portray through this piece was how some people feel lost amd alone in a fast pacing society like ours. In order to do this I had my model Yanel sit down and have him hug his legs close to his body in order to show that he is keeping to himself and distant. While he did that, I had my other 2 models walk in oposite ways infront of Yanel. I only did this to have have the sense of walking and motion in the picture. This is also the part where I had the most difficulty. When taking the picture I had trouble getting all 3 of my subjects to be in the frame. The problems were either that only 2 of them were in the frame and 1 of them was cut off because they were walking at different rates, or it was when I took the picture they were both infront of Yanel, blocking off my main subject. It all came down to a matter of timing. Overall I feel that this photograph works because I was able to capture all 3 of my subjects, my 2 walking subject came out nicely blurred and I was able to portray what I wanted to say.
